survive an earthquake using this method... pic1 above Brian's FREE recycled itouch, iphone and droid stand... There is always a need for a stand for both my ipod/itouch and the droid phone. In my closet were a bunch of old 8mm tapes in these plastic cases. Here is a great use for those plastic cases and also tape cassette cases. You can easily make your own stand! The tools and materials needed for this project are as follows: -electric glue gun -1 paperclip per case
-1 8mm tape,,plastic case -some of that blue painters masking tape (it is nicer than the tan) STEPS 1
heat up the glue gun. 2 cut the paper clip into two one inch long pieces of stiff wire 3 attach the paperclip wire, one to front inside corner of the plastic case. The case needs to be open and standing as in the pic1. 4 tear off two small pieces of the blue duct tape, and wrap around the top end of each protruding clip wire. This prevents the wire from scratching your case.
The two clip wire pieces are designed to hold the itouch or droid in
landscape position for movie viewing on your desk. I watched part of
Avatar on the itouch using the stand. Great with headphones!
In upright position, the droid makes a great Desk clock while
charging. It is a decent speaker phone stand too. Music stand...
